Ukraine: The Monaco Red Cross to support the population

Published on 01.03.2022

Monaco 28/02/2022: Following the armed conflict in Ukraine and the deterioration of the situation, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the International Red Cross Committee (IRCC) in conjunction with all national societies in the affected region, launched a joint emergency appeal on 26th February to offer support to the population on site and in the neighbouring countries and to facilitate humanitarian action.

This appeal will help to ensure the protection and assistance of the civilian population including psychosocial support, distribution of relief assistance (food and non-food items), provision of first aid and other health services to the wounded and sick, restoring family links between the separated members of the same family with particular focus on unaccompanied minors and extremely vulnerable person like elderly and disabled…

In solidarity with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the Monaco Red Cross, aware of the gravity of the situation, is making a financial contribution in support of the victims of this conflict amounting to €80,000 and is launching an appeal for donations (financial donation).
