As the impact of the pandemic continues to be felt, the Monaco Red Cross has once again received a donation from Barclays towards its Covid-19 community assistance programme, to support ongoing relief efforts in the region.
The donation will support the Monaco Red Cross in its efforts to continue its prevention and relief activities for people and communities affected by the crisis.
Through its £100m COVID-19 Community Aid Package, Barclays is partnering with charities around the world that are delivering vital COVID-19 relief efforts in the communities that need it most.
Last year, Barclays also made a donation to support the activities implemented by the Monaco Red Cross at the height of the crisis helping them to respond to various needs related to the pandemic.
The cheque was handed over at the headquarters of the Monaco Red Cross on Wednesday 8th September, in the presence of:
On behalf of the Monaco Red Cross: Frédéric Platini, Secretary General, Bettina Ragazzoni-Janin, Treasurer General, Danielle Cottalorda, Member of the Board and Communications Manager, and Yann Bertrand, Executive Director and Liaison Officer for the Treasurer General.
On behalf of Barclays: Gérald Mathieu, Managing Director, Head of Private Bank Europe, Monaco and Switzerland, Barclays Private Bank, Lorenzo Turco, Head of Marketing Monaco.
The generosity of donors is vital for the proper functioning of the association’s activities and the Monaco Red Cross is extremely grateful to Barclays for their donation.
