Food aid to meet fundamental requirements

Food distribution enables to manage emergency situations and satisfy the basic need to eat, while making sure that everyone gets quality and balanced food.

Aid may be one-off or regular. It materialises in the form of emergency parcels for persons in great distress and in extremely precarious situations. Generally, the Red Cross will not send anyone away on an empty stomach.

Regular aid is done through the distribution of food tickets at the beginning of every month. The amount allocated to each beneficiary has been previously calculated and established by the Social Worker according to the information available to her.
