Background

Following a reorganisation of the Nursing section of the Monegasque Red Cross, the Association of Monaco Nurses was given a fresh start. Indeed the Nurses Section was brilliantly headed by Mrs. Iris L’Héritier for many years.

In 1986 when she expressed her wish for Monaco to be represented within the International Committee of Nurses, the association of the Monaco Nurses was created, of which she was the president. This enabled Monaco nurses to be represented internationally. When Mrs. L’Héritier put an end to her activities the Association was reorganised. The The statutes were rewritten, and the name of the association was modified into “Association Nationale des Infirmières de Monaco” (A.N.I.M.).

The members elected a new board, comprising ten members elected for three years.

We heartily wish her a happy retirement, she who worked so hard for many years for the Nursing profession. We will try carrying on with her work which is so close to our hearts, we thank her and send her our warmest regards.
