Since it was first established in 1948, the Monaco Red Cross has been working to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people across the globe. Today, our teams continue to intervene, by providing emergency aid in response to humanitarian disasters, but also by implementing development programmes abroad in partnership with sister National Societies.

Two types of action internationally :

  • International Relief

We play a humanitarian role by responding to emergency appeals made by the Federation, the ICRC or other national Societies during major crises (earthquakes, floods, violence …) worldwide.

  • International Solidarity

For close to 10 years, our International Humanitarian Section has been responding in the field to the vital needs of people with programmes to promote access to drinking water and sanitation, community health, food security, protection and the reconstruction of infrastructure, from the state of emergency to reconstruction and development phases.
