Since 13th May 2014, Bosnia Herzegovina and Serbia have had to face severe flooding. Over 300,000 people have been hit by this disaster.
According to initial reports from the local authorities, the death toll has reached 44 and there has been significant material damage. The Serbian and Bosnian Red Cross and many volunteers are actively working to help the populations affected.
The Monegasque Red Cross has decided to launch an appeal for donations in aid of the disaster victims.
Help is urgently needed and the risk of further casualties is still present as any flooding of the Sava River in Serbia could again put lives at risk.
The Monegasque Red Cross is therefore counting on the generosity and support of everyone to overcome this disaster and restore hope to the population.
Donations can be made online on www.croix-rouge.mc or by cheque made payable to CRM Balkans.
